Hi Everyone!
Recently many of our patients have been asking about the safety and effectiveness of a home birth setting VS giving birth within the hospital setting. I of course urge people to explore all options before making a final decision however we do stress the importance of delivering your perfect new child into this world as naturally as possible. Anything that interferes with a natural process has the potential, and usually the probability of creating a problem. Our children were not meant to come into this world with drugs and surgery being their first experience ( eg. epidurals which pass through to your new born, drugs that induce labor and unnecessary c-section surgeries). The one thing that we really have to keep in mind is that mother nature has a plan! This plan has certain steps and if all of the steps are not completed then the end result is not 100% in accordance with that perfect plan. In other words, every single part of giving birth naturally has a purpose. The purpose is to prepare this perfect new life for what it will experience out in the real world. Even if we do not understand every single aspect of a process just remember that your body does!
